Big Noise is a Belgian band of four musicians, each with distinctive qualities. Max Malkomes has his roots in the blues. Raphaël D’Agostino shares with Big Noise his music experiences of marching bands and Johan Dupont the sound of classical music. The engine of the group is the infernal swing of Laurent Vigneron. The sound is built upon an image of an unstoppable steam train. The ultimate goal is to give the audience the opportunity to travel back in time to the music from 1920s, as played in New Orleans and rediscover the legacy of Louis Armstrong.
Brosella offered them a stage on condition they would invite a musician from New Orleans. They choose to invite the American clarinetist Evan Christopher who played this year at the Djangofolllies with his group ‘Django à la Créole’.
