Olli Soikkeli (guitar), Vitali Imereli (violin), Ari-Jukka Luomaranta (rhythm guitar) and Ari Tarvainen (double bass)
Hot club de Finlande plays acoustic Gypsy-swing. The ensemble plays all string instrumentation of violin bass & guitars, in tradition of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli’s Hot club de France. This swingin’ “la pompe” rhythm & virtuosic solo performances always turns you to good mood. The repertoire includes Reinhardt / Grappelli tunes & swing standards from 30’s & 40’s.
Hot Club de Finlande usually performs with guest guitar & violin soloists from Europe. The band was at Djangofolllies 2009 with the Swedish guitar player Andreas Öberg and the violin player Mikko-Ville Luolajan-Mikkola. At the 2012 edition, they will introduce violinist Vitali Imereli and the young phenomenal guitar player Olli Soikkeli.
