Kurt Bertels (saxophone), Nicolas Dupont (violin) and Goedele Taveirne (piano).
The Kugoni Trio is a young and unique ensemble, founded at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, and composed by dynamic classical musicians: saxophone player Kurt Bertels, violinist Nicolas Dupont and piano player Goedele Taveirne. They happen to share the same enthusiasm for energetic chamber music, amazing classical and bright 20th century repertoire. Kurt and Goedele had earlier the opportunity to perform as a duo in Antwerp, Genk and The Hague. As a trio they shared the stage in Tielt and Bruges. The trio is preparing itself to participate in the Chamber Music contest of Almere in The Netherlands.
The Kugoni Trio will be happy to present you the extent of their repertoire. One can expect a moony French cantilène, but also an eager Hungarian czardas or even a Norwegian violin sonata, but always performed in a fresh, spontaneous and dynamic way.
