"An Electric Motion" is the latest program of the Belgian contemporary jazz band The Flying Fish Jumps. From Standards to Underground, Freaky to Groovy waves... eclectic to electric... regardless of a niche, everyone does agree that the band serves up music. Their compositions reflect their backgrounds, influences of Jazz (J. Coltrane, T. Monk,C. Mingus, D. Cherry, F. Zappa...), African and Indian music seamlessy weave their way through the pieces. Their music which aside their own compositions features pieces from contemporary composers. The group offers different colors and gives the opportunity to fly from the roots of jazz music to get high in our minds! The FFJ's is definitely dedicated to imaginative ears.

You might have seen FFJ's at the Brussels Jazz Marathon, Flagey, the Marni theater, the Sounds jazz club, the Jazz Station, the Brussels Summer Festival (Eu'ritmix), etc.
