Tish Hinojosa grew up in San Antonio as the daughter of Mexican immigrants. Local radio stations used to play tex-mex in Spanish, but also country, blues, pop and rock ‘n’ roll. Add on top the folk revival of the Sixties and you get exactly Tish Hinojosa’s sound.
With her clear, warm and melodious voice and a mixture of Spanish and English songs, she’s the perfect mirror of the multicultural richness of today’s America. Since signing het first record contract in 1988, she released 19 albums, which makes her undoubtedly an influent singer songwriter.
She already had the pleasure to work with Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, Kris Kristofferson and Nancy Griffith and her songs have been covered by many artists (a.o. by Linda Ronstadt!).
